Pick a Fight

By Ryan Bridge

First off, let’s be clear that this theme of the week doesn’t mean start a physical altercation. We’re talking about fighting for something, someone, an idea, or a value.

The most notable fight-pickers are those who fought for something and, ultimately, helped change history: Martin Luther King Jr. fought for civil rights, Susan B. Anthony fought for women’s rights, Harriet Tubman fought against slavery, and The Beastie Boys fought for our right to party.

There are an abundance of causes looking for bold voices and people who are willing to stand up and fight. The environment, social injustices, the wellbeing of others, positive change, and even truth. You know in your heart what matters to you and the kind of changes you want to see in the world, so this week pick a fight. Call it out. Take action.

We have at our disposal more ways to have our voices heard than any other time. Get your phone out of your pocket, take to social media and fight, fight, fight for what matters.

DO IT.
