On July 15, Software for Good partnered with ANEW BAM for a hackathon! This organization supports African American youth and families with educational programs, including a summer STEM series.

We started by walking the students through our process for strategizing and designing digital products — asking who will use a tool and why they need it before we start to build. Then our team members, including interns Gauri, Meghraj, Yasmeen, and Tianna, helped the students build their own apps using tools on Code.org.

Thanks to ANEW BAM for having us and Anastasia Hill for the photos!
