Edith Emmings

After a brief stint as a biochemist, Edith Emmings found herself in Nairobi working part-time on a wildlife org’s website. Inspired by the power of coding, she dedicated her free time to learning JavaScript. After a second website gig, and a full-stack coding bootcamp, she established herself as a software engineer at Target building out full-stack data-intensive microservices. Along the way she deepened her enthusiasm for learning, mentorship, and advocacy. Today she aims to apply her experiences to impact-driven work.
