By Software for Good

Software for Good is thrilled to have received a competitive grant as part of the State of Minnesota’s Department of Employment and Economic Development Tech Training Pilot Program!

The grant funding will allow us to expand our apprenticeship program in software engineering and human-centered design, and create more opportunities for young adults who are Black, Indigenous, and people of color.

Learn more about the program from DEED’s press release.

To meet the goals of our funding, we are specifically seeking apprentices who are Black, Indigenous, and people of color, and are ages 18 to 30. Apprentices must be Minnesota residents and be U.S. citizens or have “right to work” status. We’re also specifically looking for people who are ready to start their careers in tech and will be seeking full-time work after the apprenticeship.

Apply here for our next apprenticeship cohort.

We’re looking for partners interested in:

• Referring candidates to our program

• Mentoring participants on the job

• Recruiting participants for full-time jobs after the program
